Cable Modem Requirements
With CableAmerica High Speed Internet you will need a cable modem. You will have the option to lease a cable modem from CableAmerica for a monthly fee, purchase a cable modem from CableAmerica, or purchase a cable modem from a third party vendor.
Most DOCSIS 1.1 compatible cable modems should work on our network however this is not always the case. We have had good success with some cable modems while others perform poorly. If you are purchasing a cable modem, check for the CableLabs Certified logo (pictured to the right).
